Did you know that one of the earliest known instances of a document containing the directions to buried treasure is the Copper Scroll? It was recovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1952 near Qumran. Historians believe that it was written a really long time ago, probably between 50 and 100 AD! The Copper Scroll has a list of 63 locations with detailed instructions on how to recover buried treasures of precious gold and silver!
